Children are born into a world of sound and movement, responding to vibrations when heard and felt. Their involvement with music facilitates their intellectual, imaginative and emotional growth, helping them gain a positive self-image and extend their awareness of cultural values.

- A selection of musical instruments (purchased and home made) and music

Adults can help
- Provide music anywhere and any time
- Sing and chant as often as children enjoy
- Help children make up their own songs and chants
- Play tapes, sing along and move to the music

- Choose songs and chants about numbers, counting, etc.
